Solarpunk

This is my entry for the Atomhawk Solarpunk Competition.

The Earth has been scorched and made sterile by consecutive droughts. Much of the land, except the poles, is now desert. Humanity has been funneled into these mega towers which, powered by wind and solar, are entirely self sufficient and sustainable yet life inside is highly controlled in order to keep emissions to a minimum. The only transport between the towers available to citizens is the solar maglev train, a heavy duty train triple the width of those in the 21st century. Company executives and government officials are the only ones permitted to travel in aircraft which is now highly limited in availability.
